fbbfac1b27 scoutfs: fix sparse errors 
I was building against a RHEL tree that broke sparse builds.  With that
fixed I can now see and fix sparse errors.

eb4694e401 Add simple message printing 
Add a message printing function whose output includes the device and
major:minor and which handles the kernel level string prefix.
