when building scylla with the standard library from GCC-14.2, shipped by

so let's take the opportunity to switch from `boost::irange` to
`std::views::iota`.
in this change, we:
- switch from boost::irange to std::views::iota for better standard library compatibility
- retain boost::irange where step parameter is used, as std::views::iota doesn't support it
- this change partially modernizes our range usage while maintaining
- existing functionality

Using the standard library is preffered over boost.
In cql3/expr/expression.cc to_sorted_vector got more of a
face-list and was modernized to use also std::unique
and while at it, to move its input range in the uniquely sorted
result vector.

Update the maximum size tested by the testcase. The test always created
only one chunk as the maximum size tested by it (1 << 12 = 4KB) was less
than the default max chunk size (12.8 KB). So, use twice the
max_chunk_capacity as the test size distribution upper limit to verify
that partial_reserve can reserve multiple chunks.

Fix the method comment and return types of chunked_managed_vector's
reserve_partial() similar to chunked_vector's reserve_partial() as it
has the same issues mentioned in #19254. Also update the usage in the
chunked_managed_vector_test.

chunked_managed_vector isn't susceptible to #18072
since the elements it keeps are managed_ref<T> and
those must be constructed by the caller, before reallocation
takes place, so it's safer with that respect.
The unit test is added to verify that and prevent
regressions in the future.

some times we initialize a loop variable like
auto i = 0;
or
int i = 0;
but since the type of `0` is `int`, what we get is a variable of
`int` type, but later we compare it with an unsigned number, if we
compile the source code with `-Werror=sign-compare` option, the
compiler would warn at seeing this. in general, this is a false
alarm, as we are not likely to have a wrong comparison result
here. but in order to prevent issues due to the integer promotion
for comparison in other places. and to prepare for enabling
`-Werror=sign-compare`. let's use unsigned to silence this warning.

We have enabled the command line options without changing a
single line of code, we only had to replace old include
with scylla_test_case.hh.
Next step is to add x-log-compaction-groups options, which will
determine the number of compaction groups to be used by all
instantiations of replica::table.

Fixes the case of make_room() invoked with last_chunk_capacity_deficit
but _size not in the last reserved chunk.
Found during code review, no user impact.

While reviewing "utils/chunked_managed_vector: Fix corruption in case there is more
than one chunk", I was worried that there could be a correctness issue
when pop_back() pops off the first element of the last chunk, but turns
out I made an off-by-one error in my theory. Anyway, I wrote a unit test
to verify my assumption and I found worth submitting it upstream.

If reserve() allocates more than one chunk, push_back() should not
work with the last chunk. This can result in items being pushed to the
wrong chunk, breaking internal invariants.
Also, pop_back() should not work with the last chunk. This breaks when
there is more than one chunk.
Currently, the container is only used in the sstable partition index
cache.
Manifests by crashes in sstable reader which touch sstables which have
partition index pages with more than 1638 partition entries.

Instead of lengthy blurbs, switch to single-line, machine-readable
standardized (https://spdx.dev) license identifiers. The Linux kernel
switched long ago, so there is strong precedent.
Three cases are handled: AGPL-only, Apache-only, and dual licensed.
For the latter case, I chose (AGPL-3.0-or-later and Apache-2.0),
reasoning that our changes are extensive enough to apply our license.
The changes we applied mechanically with a script, except to
licenses/README.md.
