d7bd86591e view_info: don't re-set base_info after construction
In the previous commits we made sure that the base info is not dependent
on the base schema version, and the info dependent on the base schema
version is calculated when it's needed. In this patch we remove the
unnecessary re-setting of the base_info.

The set_base_info method isn't removed completely, because it also has
a secondary function - zeroing the view_info fields other than base_info.
Because of this, in this patch we rename it accordingly and limit its
use to the updates caused by a base schema change.

ad55935411 base_info: remove base schema from the base_info
The base info now only contains values which are not reliant on the
base schema version. We remove the the base schema from the base info
to make it immutable regardless of base schema version, at the point
of this patch it's also not needed anywhere - the new base info can
replace the base schema in most places, and in the few (view_updates)
where we need it, we pull the most recent base schema version from
the database.

After this change, the base info no longer changes in a view schema
after creation, so we'll no longer get errors when we try generating
view updates with a base_info that's incompatible with a specific
base schema version.

05fce91945 schema_registry: store base info instead of base schema for view entries
In the following patch we plan to remove the base schema from the base_info
to make the base_info immutable. To do that, we first prepare the schema
registry for the change; we need to be able to create view schemas from
frozen schemas there and frozen schemas have no information about the base
table. Unless we do this change, after base schemas are removed from the
base info, we'll no longer be able to load a view schema to the schema registry
without looking up the base schema in the database.

This change also required some updates to schema building:
* we add a method for unfreezing a view schema with base info instead of
a base schema
* we make it possible to use schema_builder with a base info instead of
a base schema
* we add a method for creating a view schema from mutations with a base info
instead of a base schema
* we add a view_info constructor withat base info instead of a base schema
* we update the naming in schema_registry to reflect the usage of base info
instead of base schema

The has_computed_column_depending_on_base_non_primary_key

base_dependent_view_info instead of view_info.

900687c818 view_info: set base info on construction
Currently, the base_info may or may not be set in view schemas.
Even when it's set, it may be modified. This necessitates extra
checks when handling view schemas, as well as potentially causing
errors when we forget to set it at some point.

Instead, we want to make the base info an immutable member of view
schemas (inside view_info). The first step towards that is making
sure that all newly created schemas have the base info set.
We achieve that by requiring a base schema when constructing a view
schema. Unfortunately, this adds complexity each time we're making
a view schema - we need to get the base schema as well.
In most cases, the base schema is already available. The most
problematic scenario is when we create a schema from mutations:
- when parsing system tables we can get the schema from the
database, as regular tables are parsed before views
- when loading a view schema using the schema loader tool, we need
to load the base additionally to the view schema, effectively
doubling the work
- when pulling the schema from another node - in this case we can
only get the current version of the base schema from the local
database

Additionally, we need to consider the base schema version - when
we generate view updates the version of the base schema used for
reads should match the version of the base schema in view's base
info.
This is achieved by selecting the correct (old or new) schema in
`db::schema_tables::merge_tables_and_views` and using the stored
base schema in the schema_registry.

d0b02dc0d0 mv: delete a partition in a single operation when applicable
Currently when a partition is deleted from the base table, we generate a
row tombstone update for each one of the view rows in the partition.

When the partition key in the view is the same as the base, maybe in a
different order, this can be done more efficiently - The whole corresponding
view partition can be deleted with one partition tombstone update.

With this commit, when generating view updates, if the update mutation has a
partition tombstone then for the views which have the same partition key
we will generate a partition tombstone update, and skip the individual
row tombstone updates.

168ade72f8 treewide: replace formatter<std::string_view> with formatter<string_view>
in in {fmt} before v10, it provides the specialization of `fmt::formatter<..>`
for `std::string_view` as well as the specialization of `fmt::formatter<..>`
for `fmt::string_view` which is an implementation builtin in {fmt} for
compatibility of pre-C++17. and this type is used even if the code is
compiled with C++ stadandard greater or equal to C++17. also, before v10,
the `fmt::formatter<std::string_view>::format()` is defined so it accepts
`std::string_view`. after v10, `fmt::formatter<std::string_view>` still
exists, but it is now defined using `format_as()` machinery, so it's
`format()` method does not actually accept `std::string_view`, it
accepts `fmt::string_view`, as the former can be converted to
`fmt::string_view`.

this is why we can inherit from `fmt::formatter<std::string_view>` and
use `formatter<std::string_view>::format(foo, ctx);` to implement the
`format()` method with {fmt} v9, but we cannot do this with {fmt} v10,
and we would have following compilation failure:

```
because the inherited `format()` method actually comes from
`fmt::formatter<fmt::string_view>`. to reduce the confusion, in this
change, we just inherit from `fmt::format<string_view>`, where
`string_view` is actually `fmt::string_view`. this follows
the document at
https://fmt.dev/latest/api.html#formatting-user-defined-types,
and since there is less indirection under the hood -- we do not
use the specialization created by `FMT_FORMAT_AS` which inherit
from `formatter<fmt::string_view>`, hopefully this can improve
the compilation speed a little bit. also, this change addresses
the build failure with {fmt} v10.
27c81432cd view_info: adjust view_column to accept column_kind
The `view_info::view_column()` and `view_column` in view.cc allow to get
a view's column definition which corresponds to given base table's
column. They currently assume that the given column id corresponds to a
regular column. In preparation for secondary indexes based on static
columns, this commit adjusts those functions so that they accept other
kinds of columns, including static columns.
It is no longer called once for a given view_info, so the name
3a6ec9933c db: views: Fix undefined behavior on base table schema changes
The view_info object, which is attached to the schema object of the
view, contains a data structure called
"base_non_pk_columns_in_view_pk". This data structure contains column
ids of the base table so is valid only for a particular version of the
base table schema. This data structure is used by materialized view
code to interpret mutations of the base table, those coming from base
table writes, or reads of the base table done as part of view updates
or view building.
The base table schema version of that data structure must match the
schema version of the mutation fragments, otherwise we hit undefined
behavior. This may include aborts, exceptions, segfaults, or data
corruption (e.g. writes landing in the wrong column in the view).
Before this patch, we could get schema version mismatch here after the
base table was altered. That's because the view schema does not change
when the base table is altered.
Part of the fix is to extract base_non_pk_columns_in_view_pk into a
third entitiy called base_dependent_view_info, which changes both on
base table schema changes and view schema changes.
It is managed by a shared pointer so that we can take immutable
snapshots of it, just like with schema_ptr. When starting the view
update, the base table schema_ptr and the corresponding
base_dependent_view_info have to match. So we must obtain them
atomically, and base_dependent_view_info cannot change during update.
Also, whenever the base table schema changes, we must update
base_dependent_view_infos of all attached views (atomically) so that
it matches the base table schema.
155a47cc55 view: handle multiple regular base columns in view pk
Previous assumption was that there can only be one regular base column
in the view key. The assumption is still correct for tables created
via CQL, but it's internally possible to create a view with multiple
such columns - the new assumption is that if there are multiple columns,
they share their liveness.
This patch is vital for indexing to work properly on alternator,
so it would be best to solve the issue upstream. I strived to leave
the existing semantics intact as long as only up to one regular
column is part of the materialized view primary key, which is the case
for Scylla's materialized views. For alternator it may not be true,
but all regular columns in alternator share liveness info (since
alternator does not support per-column TTL), which is sufficient
to compute view updates in a consistent way.
dbe8491655 view: cache is_index for view pointer
It's detrimental to keep querying index manager whether a view
is backing a secondary index every time, so this value is cached
at construct time.
At the same time, this value is not simply passed to view_info
when being created in secondary index manager, in order to
decouple materialized view logic from secondary indexes as much as
possible (the sole existence of is_index() is bad enough).
bfb8a3c172 materialized views: Replace db::view::view class
The write path uses a base schema at a particular version, and we
want it to use the materialized views at the corresponding version.
To achieve this, we need to map the state currently in db::view::view
the view_info class to hold the state previously in db::view::view,
and by having a view schema directly point to it.
The changes in the patch are thus:
1) Introduce view_info to hold the extra view state;
2) Point to the view_info from the schema;
3) Make the functions in the now stateless db::view::view non-member;
4) Remove the db::view::view class.
