The schema_tables.hh -> migration_manager.hh couple seems to work as one
of "single header for everyhing" creating big blot for many seemingly
unrelated .hh's.

seastar::apply() is deprecated in recent versions of seastar in favor
of std::apply(), so stop including its header. Calls to unqualified
apply(..., std::tuple<>) are resolved to std::apply() by argument
dependent lookup, so no changes to call sites are necessary.
This avoids a huge number of deprecation warnings with latest seastar.

std::memory_order is an unscoped enum, and so does not need its
members to be prefixed with std::memory_order::, just std::.
This used to work, but in C++20 it no longer does. Use the
standard way to name these constants, which works in both C++17
and C++20.

query_processor is a central class, so reducing its includes
can reduce dependencies treewite. This patch removes includes
for parsed_statement, cf_statement, and untyped_result_set and
fixes up the rest of the tree to include what it lacks as a result
of these removals.
Currently query_options objects is passed to a trace stopping function
which makes it mandatory to make them alive until the end of the
query. The reason for that is to add prepared statement parameters to
the trace. All other query options that we want to put in the trace are
copied into trace_state::params_values, so lets copy prepared statement
parameters there too. Trace enabled case will become a little bit more
expensive but on the other hand we can drop a continuation that holds
query_options object alive from a fast path. It is safe to drop the call
to stop_foreground_prepared() here since The tracing will be stopped
in process_request_one().

Commit 7e3805ed3d removed the load balancing code from cql
server, but it did not remove most of the craft that load balancing
introduced. The most of the complexity (and probably the main reason the
code never worked properly) is around service::client_state class which
is copied before been passed to the request processor (because in the past
the processing could have happened on another shard) and then merged back
into the "master copy" because a request processing may have changed it.
This commit remove all this copying. The client_request is passed as a
reference all the way to the lowest layer that needs it and it copy
construction is removed to make sure nobody copies it by mistake.

This patch silences those future discard warnings where it is clear that
discarding the future was actually the intent of the original author,
*and* they did the necessary precautions (handling errors). The patch
also adds some trivial error handling (logging the error) in some
places, which were lacking this, but otherwise look ok. No functional
changes.
We need a way to configure the cql interpreter and runtime. So far we relied
on accessing the configuration class via various backdoors, but that causes
its own problems around initialization order and testability. To avoid that,
this patch adds an empty cql_config class and propagates it from main.cc
(and from tests) to the cql interpreter via the query_options class, which is
already passed everywhere.
Later patches will fill it with contents.
Current cql transport code acquire a permit before processing a query and
release it when the query gets a reply, but some quires leave work behind.
If the work is allowed to accumulate without any limit a server may
eventually run out of memory. To prevent that the permit system should
account for the background work as well. The patch is a first step in
this direction. It passes a permit down to storage proxy where it will
be later hold by background work.
Replace stdx::optional and stdx::string_view with the C++ std
counterparts.
Some instances of boost::variant were also replaced with std::variant,
namely those that called seastar::visit.
Scylla now requires GCC 8 to compile.

Static class_registries hinder librarification by requiring linking with
all object files (instead of a library from which objects are linked on
demand) and reduce readability by hiding dependencies and by their
horrible syntax. Hide them behind a non-static, non-template tracing
backend registry.

Many headers don't really need to include database.hh, the include can
be replaced by forward declarations and/or including the actually needed
headers directly. Some headers don't need this include at all.
Each header was verified to be compilable on its own after the change,
by including it into an empty `.cc` file and compiling it. `.cc` files
that used to get `database.hh` through headers that no longer include it
were changed to include it themselves.
sprint() recently became more strict, throwing on sprint("%s", 5). Replace
with the more modern format().

Make trace_state_ptr to be a wrapper class around lw_shared_ptr<trace_state> that
hints that bool(trace_state_ptr) is likely to return FALSE.

are not sensitive to a few cycles), so mark the tracing paths as

Store the prepared statement positional parameters values in the
corresponding system_traces.sessions entry in the 'parameters' column
(which has a map<text,text> type).
Parameters are stored as a pair of "param[X]" : "value", where X is
the index of the parameter starting from 0 and the "value" is the first
64 characters of the parameter's value string representation.
If parameters were given with their names attached (see the description
on bit 0x40 of QUERY flags in the CQL binary protocol specification) then
parameters are going to be stored in the "param[X](<bound variable name>)" : "value"
form.
If the value's string representation is longer than 64 characters then the "value" will
contain only first 64 characters of it and will have the "..." at
the end.
For a BATCH of prepared statements the parameter "name" will have a form of
param[Y][X] where Y is the index of the corresponding prepared statement
in the BATCH and X is the index of the parameter. Both X and Y start from
0.
Note:
Had to switch to boost::range::find() in sstables::big_sstable_set in order to
address the "ambiguous overload" compilation error.

Similarly to the regular QUERY of EXECUTE we want to see the actual
queries statement that were part of the BATCH.
If a traced query has only a single statement to execute then its statement will be stored in a form 'query':'<statement>'.
If there are two or more queries (BATCH) then statements of each query in the BATCH will be stored in a form 'query[X]':'<statement>', where X is the index of the query in the
BATCH starting from 0.

The storage_proxy represents the entire cluster, so there's never a need
to access it on a remote shard; the local shard instance will contact
remote shard or remote nodes as needed.
Simplify the API by passing storage_proxy references instead of
seastar::sharded<storage_proxy> references. query_processor and
other callers are adjusted to call seastar::sharded::local() first.

All we require are value semantics.
`client_state` still stores `authenticated_user` in a `shared_ptr`, but
the behavior of that class is complex enough to warrant its own
discussion/design/refactor.
The most important change is replacing `auth::authenticated_user::name`
with a public `std::optional<sstring>` member. Anonymous users have no
name. This replaces the insecure and bug-prone special-string of
"anonymous" for anonymous users, which does unfortunate things with the
authorizer.
The new `auth::is_anonymous` function exists for convenience since
checking the absence of a `std::optional` value can be tedious.
When a caller really wants a name unconditionally, a new stream output
function is also available.
Make state session creation, stop_forground() and tracing::trace(...) methods
noexcept.
Most of them have already been implemented the way that they won't throw
but this patch makes it official...

Introduce two time series helper tables that will simplify the querying
of traces.
One for querying regular traces:

This patch makes the tracing framework follow the general idea of Google's
Dapper paper: traces generated in a context of the same query are forming
a single-rooted acyclic tree where in a ScyllaDB case vertexes are spans running
on each involved replica Node and edges are RPCs sent from one Node to another.
- Each vertex in the tree above has an ID - "span ID".
- In order to be able to build the tree from the sessions traces we need
to know the parent "span ID" - the ID of a span that sent an RPC that created
the current span.
- Each span of a tracing session is given a 64-bit random span ID.
- The root span has a span_id::illegal_id value.
This patch adds:
- The described above parent span ID and a span ID to the one_session_records
object.
- The current span ID is passed in the trace_info struct to the remote replica.
- Add parent_id and span_id columns to system_traces.events table for the parent
ID and span ID.

In addition to actually moving to using the prepared statements the changes also include:
- Kill the cache_xxx() methods - the schema is going to be checked during the
prepared statement creation and during its execution.
- Move the caching of table ID and the prepared statement to the get_schema_ptr_or_create().
- Rename: get_schema_ptr_or_create() -> cache_table_info().
After these changes we are less strict in our demands to system_traces tables schemas, e.g.
if some column's type is not exactly as we expect but rather only "compatible" in the CQL sense
we will tolerate this and will continue to write into that table.
