c8ef356859 test/lib: move convenience table config factory to sstable_test_env
All users of `column_family_test_config()`, get the semaphore parameter
for it from `sstable_test_env`. It is clear that the latter serves as
the storage space for stable objects required by the table config. This
patch just enshrines this fact by moving the config factory method to
`sstable_test_env`, so it can just get what it needs from members.

ab13127761 sstables: use generation_type more soundly
`generation_type` is (supposed to be) conceptually different from
`int64_t` (even if physically they are the same), but at present
Scylla code still largely treats them interchangeably.

In addition to using `generation_type` in more places, we
provide (no-op) `generation_value()` and `generation_from_value()`
operations to make the smoke-and-mirrors more believable.

The churn is considerable, but all mechanical. To avoid even
more (way, way more) churn, unit test code is left untreated for
now, except where it uses the affected core APIs directly.

50e6810536 table, db, tests: Pass sstables_manager& into table constructor
In core code there's only one place that constructs table -- in
database.cc -- and this place currently has the sstables_manager pointer
sitting on table config (despite it's a pointer, it's always non-null).

All the tests always use the manager from one of _env's out there.

For now the new contructor arg is unused.

c5e5692a01 compaction_manager: Make invoking the empty constructor more explicit
The compaction manager's empty constructor is supposed to be invoked
only in testing environment, however, it is easy to invoke it by mistake
from production code.
Here we add a more verbose constructor and making the default compaction
private, the verbose compiler need to be invoked with a tag
for_testing_tag, this will ensure that this constructor will be invoked
only when intended.
The unit tests were changed according to this new paradigm.

b029bd3db7 tree: remove mutation_reader.hh include
In most files it was unused. We should move these to the patch which
moved out the last interesting reader from mutation_reader.hh (and added
the corresponding new header include) but its probably not worth the
effort.
Some other files still relied on mutation_reader.hh to provide reader
concurrency semaphore and some other misc reader related definitions.

c25d8f6770 compaction: Move decision of garbage collection from strategy to task type
For compaction to be able to purge expired data, like tombstones, a
sstable set snapshot is set in the compaction descriptor.

That's a decision that belongs to task type. For example, all regular
compaction enable GC, whereas scrub for example doesn't for safety
reasons.

The problem is that the decision is being made by every instantiation
of compaction_descriptor in the strategies, which is both unnecessary
and also adds lots of boilerplate to the code, making it hard to
understand and work with.

As sstable set snapshot is an implementation detail, a new method
is being added to compaction_descriptor to make the intention
clearer, making the interface easier to understand.

can_purge_tombstones, used previously by rewrite task only, is being
reused for communicating GC intention into task::compact_sstables().

The boilerplate was a pain when adding a new strategy method for
the ongoing work on cleanup, described by issue #10097.
Another benefit is that we'll now only create a set snapshot when
compaction will really run. Before, it could happen that the snapshot
would be discarded if the compaction attempt had to be postponed,
which is a waste of cpu cycles.

cbba80914d memtable: move to replica module and namespace
Memtables are a replica-side entity, and so are moved to the
replica module and namespace.

Memtables are also used outside the replica, in two places:
 - in some virtual tables; this is also in some way inside the replica,
(virtual readers are installed at the replica level, not the
cooordinator), so I don't consider it a layering violation
 - in many sstable unit tests, as a convenient way to create sstables
with known input. This is a layering violation.

We could make memtables their own module, but I think this is wrong.
Memtables are deeply tied into replica memory management, and trying
to make them a low-level primitive (at a lower level than sstables) will
be difficult. Not least because memtables use sstables. Instead, we
should have a memtable-like thing that doesn't support merging and
doesn't have all other funky memtable stuff, and instead replace
the uses of memtables in sstable tests with some kind of
make_flat_mutation_reader_from_unsorted_mutations() that does
the sorting that is the reason for the use of memtables in tests (and
live with the layering violation meanwhile).

bbad8f4677 replica: move ::database, ::keyspace, and ::table to replica namespace
Move replica-oriented classes to the replica namespace. The main
classes moved are ::database, ::keyspace, and ::table, but a few
ancillary classes are also moved. There are certainly classes that
should be moved but aren't (like distributed_loader) but we have
to start somewhere.

References are adjusted treewide. In many cases, it is obvious that
a call site should not access the replica (but the data_dictionary
instead), but that is left for separate work.

scylla-gdb.py is adjusted to look for both the new and old names.

ae3a360725 database: Move database, keyspace, table classes to replica/ directory
The database, keyspace, and table classes represent the replica-only
part of the objects after which they are named. Reading from a table
doesn't give you the full data, just the replica's view, and it is not
consistent since reconciliation is applied on the coordinator.

As a first step in acknowledging this, move the related files to
a replica/ subdirectory.

efed06e2e4 compaction: move management of compaction_info to compaction_manager
Today, compaction is calling compaction manager to register / deregister
the compaction_info created by it.

This is a layer violation because manager sits one layer above
compaction, so manager should be responsible for managing compaction
info.

From now on, compaction_info will be created and managed by
compaction_manager. compaction will only have a reference to info,
which it can use to update the world about compaction progress.

This will allow compaction_manager to be simplified as info can be
coupled with its respective task, allowing duplication to be removed
and layer violation to be fixed.

1924e8d2b6 treewide: Move compaction code into a new top-level compaction dir
Since compaction is layered on top of sstables, let's move all compaction code

This change will give me extra motivation to remove all layer violations, like

- move compaction code in sstables namespace into a new one for compaction.
- move compaction unit tests into its own file

e40aa042a7 distributed_loader: reshard before the node is made online
This patch moves the resharding process to use the new
directory_with_sstables_handler infrastructure. There is no longer
a clear reshard step, and that just becomes a natural part of
populate_column_family.

In main.cc, a couple of changes are necessary to make that happen.
The first one obviously is to stop calling reshard. We also need to
make sure that:
 - The compaction manager is started much earlier, so we can register
   resharding jobs with it.
 - auto compactions are disabled in the populate method, so resharding
doesn't have to fight for bandwidth with auto compactions.

Now that we are resharding through the sstable_directory, the old
resharding code can be deleted. There is also no need to deal with
the resharding backlog either, because the SSTables are not yet
added to the sstable set at this point.

8e47f61df7 compaction: Enable tombstone expiration based on the presence of the sstable set
For tombstone expiration to proceed correctly without the risk of resurrecting
data, the sstable set must be present.
Regular compaction and derivatives provide the sstable set, so they're able
to expire tombstones with no resurrection risk.
Resharding, on the other hand, can run on any shard, not necessarily on the
same shard that one of the input sstables belongs to, so it currently cannot
provide a sstable set for tombstone expiration to proceed safely.
That being said, let's only do expiration based on the presence of the set.
This makes room for the sstable set to be feeded to compaction via descriptor,
allowing even resharding to do expiration. Currently, compaction thinks that
sstable set can only come from the table, and that also needs to be changed
for further flexibility.

It's theoretically possible that a given resharding job will resurrect data if
a fully expired SSTable is resharded at a shard which it doesn't belong to.
Resharding will have no way to tell that expiring all that data will lead to
resurrection because the relevant SSTables are at different shards.
This is fixed by checking for fully expired sstables only on presence of
the sstable set.

fb6976f1b9 Make sure SSTables created by streaming are added to backlog tracker
New SStables are only added to backlog tracker if set_unshared() was
called on their behalf. SStables created for streaming are not being
added to the tracker because make_streaming_sstable_for_write()
doesn't call set_unshared() nor does it caller. Which results in backlog
not accounting for their existence, which means backlog will be much
lower than expected.

This problem could be fixed by adding a set_unshared() call but it
turns out we don't even need set_unshared() anymore. It was introduced
when Scylla metadata didn't exist, now a SSTable has built-in knowledge
of whether or not it's shared. Relying on every SSTable creator calling
set_unshared() is bug prone. Let's get rid of it and let the SStable
itself say whether or not it's shared. If an imported SSTable has not
Scylla metadata, Scylla will still be able to compute shards using
token range metadata.

70a89ab4ab compaction: do not assume I/O priority class
We shouldn't assume the I/O priority class for compactions. For
instance, if we are dealing with offstrategy compactions we may want to
use the maintenance group priority for them.

For now, all compactions are put in the compaction class. rewrite
compactions (scrub, cleanup) could be maintenance, but we don't have
clear access to the database object at this time to derive the
equivalent CPU priority. This is planned to be changed in the future,
and when we do change it, we'll adjust.

Same goes for resharding: while we could at this point change it we'd
risking memory pressure since resharding is run online and sstables are
shared until resharding is done. When we move it to offline execution
we'll do it with maintenance priority.

05efd6a5e9 resharding: get rid of special reshard_sstables
There is a method, reshard_sstables(), whose sole purpose is to call a
resharding compaction. There is nothing special about this method: all
the information it needs is now present in the compaction_descriptor.

This patch extend the compaction_options class to recognize resharding
compactions as well, and uses that so that make_compaction() can also
create resharding compactions.

To make that happen we have to create a compaction_descriptor object in
the resharding method. Note however that resharding works by passing an
object very close to the compaction_descriptor around. Once this patch
is merged, a logical next step is to reuse it, and avoid creating the
descriptor right before calling compact_sstables().
