3feb759943 everywhere: use utils::chunked_vector for list of mutations
Currently, we use std::vector<*mutation> to keep
a list of mutations for processing.
This can lead to large allocation, e.g. when the vector
size is a function of the number of tables.

Use a chunked vector instead to prevent oversized allocations.

855411caad test/boost/multishard_mutation_query_test: ensure test runs with vnodes
All tests in this suite use the default "ks" keyspace from cql_test_env.
This keyspace has tablet support and at any time we might decide to make
it use tablets by default. This would make all these tests use the
tablet path in multishard_mutation_query.cc. These tests were created to
test the vastly more complex vnodes code path in said file. The tablet
path is much simpler and it is only used by SELECT * FROM
MUTATION_FRAGMENTS() and which has its own correctness tests.
So explicitely create a vnodes keyspace and use it in all the tests to
restore the test functionality.

1175e1ed49 test/boost/multishard_mutation_query_test: fix test_read_with_partition_row_limits
This test has multiple problems:
* has 3 embedded loops to run different scenarios, ignores variable from
2 of these, running with hardcoded settings instead
* initializes misses and lookups to 0 at the start of each scenario,
this throws off per-page increment checks, when the previous scenario
moved these metrics and they don't start from 0; this causes the test
  to sometimes fail
* duplicate check of drops == 0 (just cosmetic)

Fix all three problems, the second is especially important because it
made the test flaky.

aa8c27b872 db: prevent accidental copies of result_set_row by making it move-only
result_set_row is a heavyweight object containing multiple cell types:
regular columns, partition keys, and static values. To prevent expensive
accidental copies, delete the copy constructor and replace it with:

1. A move constructor for efficient vector reallocation
2. An explicit copy() method when copies are actually needed

This change reduces overhead in some non-hot paths by eliminating implicit
deep copies. Please note, previously, in `create_view_from_mutation()`,
we kept a copy of `result_set_row`, and then reused `table_rs` for
holding the mutation for `scylla_tables`. Because we don't copy
the `result_set_row` in this change, in order to avoid invalidating
the `row` after reusing `table_rs` in the outer scope, we define a
new `table_rs` shadowing the one in the out scope.

03461d6a54 test: compile unit tests into a single executable
To reduce test executable size and speed up compilation time, compile unit
tests into a single executable.

Here is a file size comparison of the unit test executable:

- Before applying the patch
$ du -h --exclude='*.o' --exclude='*.o.d' build/release/test/boost/ build/debug/test/boost/
11G	build/release/test/boost/
29G	build/debug/test/boost/

- After applying the patch
du -h --exclude='*.o' --exclude='*.o.d' build/release/test/boost/ build/debug/test/boost/
5.5G	build/release/test/boost/
19G	build/debug/test/boost/

It reduces executable sizes 5.5GB on release, and 10GB on debug.

so let's take the opportunity to switch from `boost::irange` to
`std::views::iota`.

in this change, we:

- switch from boost::irange to std::views::iota for better standard library compatibility
- retain boost::irange where step parameter is used, as std::views::iota doesn't support it
- this change partially modernizes our range usage while maintaining
- existing functionality

aa1270a00c treewide: change assert() to SCYLLA_ASSERT()
assert() is traditionally disabled in release builds, but not in
scylladb. This hasn't caused problems so far, but the latest abseil
release includes a commit [1] that causes a 1000 insn/op regression when
NDEBUG is not defined.

Clearly, we must move towards a build system where NDEBUG is defined in
release builds. But we can't just define it blindly without vetting
all the assert() calls, as some were written with the expectation that
they are enabled in release mode.

To solve the conundrum, change all assert() calls to a new SCYLLA_ASSERT()
macro in utils/assert.hh. This macro is always defined and is not conditional
on NDEBUG, so we can later (after vetting Seastar) enable NDEBUG in release
mode.

51df8b9173 interval: rename nonwrapping_interval to interval
Our interval template started life as `range`, and was supported
wrapping to follow Cassandra's convention of wrapping around the
maximum token.

We later recognized that an interval type should usually be non-wrapping
and split it into wrapping_range and nonwrapping_range, with `range`
aliasing wrapping_range to preserve compatibility.

Even later, we realized the name was already taken by C++ ranges and
so renamed it to `interval`. Given that intervals are usually non-wrapping,
the default `interval` type is non-wrapping.

We can now simplify it further, recognizing that everyone assumes
that an interval is non-wrapping and so doesn't need the
nonwrapping_interval_designation. We just rename nonwrapping_interval
to `interval` and remove the type alias.

605bf6e221 range.hh: retire
range.hh was deprecated in bd794629f9 (2020) since its names
conflict with the C++ library concept of an iterator range. The name
::range also mapped to the dangerous wrapping_interval rather than
nonwrapping_interval.

Complete the deprecation by removing range.hh and replacing all the
aliases by the names they point to from the interval library. Note
this now exposes uses of wrapping intervals as they are now explicit.

The unit tests are renamed and range.hh is deleted.

8180f61147 test/boost/multishard_mutation_query_test: fix querier cache misses expectations
There are two tests, test_read_all and
test_read_with_partition_row_limits, which asserts on every page as well
as at the end that there are no misses whatsoever. This is incorrect,
because it is possible that on a given page, not all shards participate
and thus there won't be a saved reader on every shard. On the subsequent
page, a shard without a reader may produce a miss. This is fine.
Refine the asserts, to check that we have only as much misses, as many
shards we have without readers on them.

82cac8e7cf treewide: s/std::source_location/seastar::compact::source_location/
CWG 2631 (https://cplusplus.github.io/CWG/issues/2631.html) reports
an issue on how the default argument is evaluated. this problem is
more obvious when it comes to how `std::source_location::current()`
is evaluated as a default argument. but not all compilers have the
same behavior, see https://godbolt.org/z/PK865KdG4.

notebaly, clang-15 evaluates the default argument at the callee
site. so we need to check the capability of compiler and fall back
to the one defined by util/source_location-compat.hh if the compiler
suffers from CWG 2631. and clang-16 implemented CWG2631 in
https://reviews.llvm.org/D136554. But unfortunately, this change
was not backported to clang-15.

before switching over to clang-16, for using std::source_location::current()
as the default parameter and expect the behavior defined by CWG2631,
we have to use the compatible layer provided by Seastar. otherwise
we always end up having the source_location at the callee side, which
is not interesting under most circumstances.

so in this change, all places using the idiom of passing
std::source_location::current() as the default parameter are changed
to use seastar::compat::source_location::current(). despite that
we have `#include "seastarx.h"` for opening the seastar namespace,
to disambiguate the "namespace compat" defined somewhere in scylladb,
the fully qualified name of
`seastar::compat::source_location::current()` is used.

see also 09a3c63345, where we used
std::source_location as an alias of std::experimental::source_location
if it was available. but this does not apply to the settings of our
current toolchain, where we have GCC-12 and Clang-15.

bbabf07f69 Merge 'test/boost/multishard_mutation_query: use random schema' from Botond Dénes
This test currently uses `test/lib/test_table.hh` to generate data for its test cases. This data generation facility is used by no other tests. Worse, it is redundant as we already have a random data generator with fixed schema, in `test/lib/mutation_source_test.hh`. So in this series, we migrate the test cases in said test file to random schema and its random data generation facilities. These are used by several other test cases and using random schema allows us to cover a wider (quasi-infinite) number of possibilities.
After migrating all tests away from it, `test/lib/test_table.hh` is removed.
This series also reduces the runtime of `fuzzy_test` drastically. It should now run in a few minutes or even in seconds (depending on the machine).

Create a local method called create_test_table that has the same
signature as test::create_test_table, but uses random schema behind the
scenes to generate the schema and the data, then migrate all the test
cases to use it instead.
To accomodate to the added randomness added by the random schema and
random data, the unreliable querier cache population checks was replaced
with more reliable lookup and miss checks, to prevent test flakiness.
Querier cache population checks worked well with a fixed and simple
schema and a fixed table population, they don't work that well with
random data.

With this, there are no more uses of test_table.hh in this test and the
include can be removed.

Also change how the page counter is bumped: bump it after the current

841b982e51 test/lib/test_utils: return OK from check() variants
The various require() and check() methods in test_utils.hh were
introduced to replace BOOST_REQUIRE() and BOOST_CHECK() respectively in
multi-shard concurrent tests, specifically those in
tests/boost/multishard_mutation_query_test.cc.
This was done literally, just replacing BOOST_REQUIRE() with require()
and BOOST_CHECK() with check(). The problem is that check() is missing a
feature BOOST_CHECK() had: while BOOST_CHECK() doesn't cause an
immediate test failure, just logging an error if the condition fails, it
remembers this failure and will fail the test in the end. check() did
not have this feature and this caused potential errors to just be logged
while the test could still pass fine, causing false-positive tests
passes. This patch fixes this by returning a [[nodiscard]] bool from the
check() methods. The caller can & these together over all calls to
check() methods and manually fail the test in the end. We choose this
method over a hidden global (like BOOST_CHECK() does) for simplicity
sake.
