One of them uses global storage_proxy instance, but since it is not used -- remove it not to encourage anybody to start calling one. Another call uses the db.find_keyspace to check if a keyspace exists, while there's a nicer db.has_keyspace helper (which doesn't throw exceptions) so use it.
