Use perftune.py for tuning disks:
- Distribute/pin disks' IRQs:
- For NVMe drives: evenly among all present CPUs.
- For non-NVMe drives: according to chosen tuning mode.
- For all disks used by scylla:
- Tune nomerges
- Tune I/O scheduler.
It's important to tune NIC and disks together in order to keep IRQ
pinning in the same mode.
Disk are detected and tuned based on the current content of
/etc/scylla/scylla.yaml configuration file.
