Kefu Chai 0fd85a98a9 mutation: add fmt::formatter for position_range ...

before this change, we rely on the default-generated fmt::formatter
created from operator<<, but fmt v10 dropped the default-generated
formatter.

in this change, we define formatters for `position_range`, and the
helpers for printing related types are dropped.
