ce6485fa70 Remove the abci responses type - prune legacy responses (#8673)
Closes #8069

* Type `ABCIResponses` was just wrapping type `ResponseFinalizeBlock`. This patch removes the former.
* Did some renaming to avoid confusion on the data structure we are working with.
* We also remove any stale ABCIResponses we may have in the state store at the time of pruning

**IMPORTANT**: There is an undesirable side-effect of the unwrapping. An empty `ResponseFinalizeBlock` yields a 0-length proto-buf serialized buffer. This was not the case with `ABCIResponses`. I have added an interim solution, but open for suggestions on more elegant ones.

0b8a62c87b abci: Synchronize FinalizeBlock with the updated specification (#7983)
This change set implements the most recent version of `FinalizeBlock`.

# What does this change actually contain?

* This change set is rather large but fear not! The majority of the files touched and changes are renaming `ResponseDeliverTx` to `ExecTxResult`. This should be a pretty inoffensive change since they're effectively the same type but with a different name.
* The `execBlockOnProxyApp` was totally removed since it served as just a wrapper around the logic that is now mostly encapsulated within `FinalizeBlock`
* The `updateState` helper function has been made a public method on `State`. It was being exposed as a shim through the testing infrastructure, so this seemed innocuous.
* Tests already existed to ensure that the application received the `ByzantineValidators` and the `ValidatorUpdates`, but one was fixed up to ensure that `LastCommitInfo` was being sent across.
* Tests were removed from the `psql` indexer that seemed to search for an event in the indexer that was not being created.

# Questions for reviewers
* We store this [ABCIResponses](5721a13ab1/proto/tendermint/state/types.pb.go (L37)) type in the data base as the block results. This type has changed since v0.35 to contain the `FinalizeBlock` response. I'm wondering if we need to do any shimming to keep the old data retrieveable?
* Similarly, this change is exposed via the RPC through [ResultBlockResults](5721a13ab1/rpc/coretypes/responses.go (L69)) changing. Should we somehow shim or notify for this change?

c8e8a62084 abci/client: simplify client interface (#7607)
This change has two main effects:

1. Remove most of the Async methods from the abci.Client interface.
   Remaining are FlushAsync, CommitTxAsync, and DeliverTxAsync.

2. Rename the synchronous methods to remove the "Sync" suffix.

The rest of the change is updating the implementations, subsets, and mocks of
the interface, along with the call sites that point to them.

* Fix stringly-typed mock stubs.
* Rename helper method.

d7606777cf libs/service: pass logger explicitly (#7288)
This is a very small change, but removes a method from the
`service.Service` interface (a win!) and forces callers to explicitly
pass loggers in to objects during construction rather than (later)
injecting them. There's not a real need for this kind of lazy
construction of loggers, and I think a decent potential for confusion
for mutable loggers.

The main concern I have is that this changes the constructor API for
ABCI clients. I think this is fine, and I suspect that as we plumb
contexts through, and make changes to the RPC services there'll be a
number of similar sorts of changes to various (quasi) public
interfaces, which I think we should welcome.

e13b4386ff abci: modify Client interface and socket client (#5673)
`abci.Client`:

- Sync and Async methods now accept a context for cancellation
    * grpc client uses context to cancel both Sync and Async requests
    * local client ignores context parameter
    * socket client uses context to cancel Sync requests and to drop Async requests before sending them if context was cancelled prior to that

- Async methods return an error
    * socket client returns an error immediately if queue is full for Async requests
    * local client always returns nil error
    * grpc client returns an error if context was cancelled before we got response or the receiving queue had a space for response (do not confuse with the sending queue from the socket client)

- specify clients semantics in [doc.go](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/tendermint/tendermint/27112fffa62276bc016d56741f686f0f77931748/abci/client/doc.go)

`mempool.TxInfo`

- add optional `Context` to `TxInfo`, which can be used to cancel `CheckTx` request

66ed8ec39d proto: reorganize Protobuf schemas (#5102)
Reorganizes the Protobuf schemas. It is mostly bikeshedding, so if something is contentious or causes a lot of extra work then I'm fine with reverting. Some Protobuf and Go import paths will change.

* Move `abci/types/types.proto` to `abci/types.proto`.

* Move `crypto/keys/types.proto` and `crypto/merkle/types.proto` to `crypto/keys.proto` and `crypto/proof.proto`.

* Drop the use of `msgs` in filenames, as "message" is a very overloaded term (all Protobuf types are messages, and we also have `message Message`). Use `types.proto` as a catch-all, and otherwise name files by conceptual grouping instead of message kind.

62f97a69e9 abci: Refactor CheckTx to notify of recheck (#3744)
As per #2127, this refactors the RequestCheckTx ProtoBuf struct to allow for a flag indicating whether a query is a recheck or not (and allows for possible future, more nuanced states).

In order to pass this extended information through to the ABCI app, the proxy.AppConnMempool (and, for consistency, the proxy.AppConnConsensus) interface seems to need to be refactored along with abcicli.Client.

And, as per this comment, I've made the following modification to the protobuf definition for the RequestCheckTx structure:

enum CheckTxType {
  New = 0;
  Recheck = 1;
}

message RequestCheckTx {
  bytes tx = 1;
  CheckTxType type = 2;
}

* Refactor ABCI CheckTx to notify of recheck

As per #2127, this refactors the `RequestCheckTx` ProtoBuf struct to allow for:

1. a flag indicating whether a query is a recheck or not (and allows for
   possible future, more nuanced states)
2. an `additional_data` bytes array to provide information for those more
   nuanced states.

In order to pass this extended information through to the ABCI app, the
`proxy.AppConnMempool` (and, for consistency, the
`proxy.AppConnConsensus`) interface seems to need to be refactored.

Commits:

* Fix linting issue

* Add CHANGELOG_PENDING entry

* Remove extraneous explicit initialization

* Update ABCI spec doc to include new CheckTx params

* Rename method param for consistency

* Rename CheckTxType enum values and remove additional_data param
