Ben McIlwain 192a7e6c4e Implement Expiry Access Period flows and billing (#3131)
This commit implements the second stage (Java ORM mappings and EPP flow
enforcement) of the Expiry Access Period (XAP) launch and opt-in mechanism,
completing the Two-PR deployment split mandated by db/README.md after the
Stage 1 database migrations (PR #3134) are live.

During XAP, a TLD charges a fee for domain registration during a timed period
after deletion. To prevent accidental charges, registrars must explicitly
opt in to participate in XAP registrations.

Specifically, this commit:
- Adds expiryAccessPeriodTransitions (a TimedTransitionProperty of
  ExpiryAccessPeriodMode) to Tld.java and ExpiryAccessPeriodModeTransitionUserType
for mapping XAP mode schedules to PostgreSQL hstore columns.
- Adds expiryAccessPeriodEnabled to Registrar.java with getter, builder
setter, and JSON map serialization, and regenerates db-schema.sql.generated.
- Enforces registrar opt-in in DomainCheckFlow: when an unallocated domain is
in XAP and the querying registrar has not opted in, domain:check returns
  avail="0" with reason "Reserved".
- Enforces registrar opt-in in DomainCreateFlow: when attempting to register
a domain in XAP without registrar opt-in, throws DomainReservedException
(EPP error 2304 "Object status prohibits operation").
- Enforces explicit fee acknowledgment during XAP domain creation when the XAP
fee is non-zero, throwing FeesRequiredDuringExpiryAccessPeriodException in
  DomainFlowUtils if omitted.
- Creates a one-time BillingEvent with Reason.FEE_EXPIRY_ACCESS when a domain
is created during XAP with a non-zero fee, and adds getXapCost() to
  FeesAndCredits.
- Updates all test TLD YAML configurations and adds comprehensive unit and
  integration tests across DomainCheckFlowTest, DomainCreateFlowTest,
  DomainPricingLogicTest, and RegistrarTest.

Ben McIlwain 75524fd403 Restore default builds and fix Kokoro tests (#3081)
This commit reverts changes from 5599a0eb3d and most of 5286b1a0dc (PR #3068) that stripped essential dependencies (buildConsoleForAll, buildNomulusImage, buildToolImage, fragileTest) from the default './gradlew build' target, which broke downstream deployment pipelines. It restores the default build to correctly generate all necessary production artifacts and Docker images.

It introduces a new 'fastBuild' target designed explicitly for local developers and CI checks. This lightweight target disables the execution of heavy Docker image builds, Angular compilations, and fragile tests to provide rapid feedback. Sequential execution constraints for parallel Angular builds are maintained to prevent cache corruption.

It updates the ':core:generateSqlSchema' task to execute using the 'unittest' environment instead of 'alpha'. The 'alpha' configuration is a private, internal environment config that is not distributed in the open-source repository, which caused the task to fail for public contributors. By switching to 'unittest', the generator can successfully run using the public test configuration. With this fixed, it also includes the newly generated 'db-schema.sql.generated' file, which now correctly tracks the 'FORBID_INSECURE_ALGORITHMS_RFC_9904' feature flag that was recently added.

Finally, it implements a split-runner execution strategy for the 'sqlIntegrationTest' task to permanently resolve 'failed to discover tests' and 'NoSuchMethodError' exceptions on Kokoro. Because Kokoro tests cross-version compatibility against both legacy deployed artifacts (compiled with JUnit 4 @RunWith wrappers) and modern artifacts (compiled with JUnit 5 @Suite annotations), we cannot statically configure a single test runner. We now dynamically run both the legacy 'useJUnit()' and modern 'useJUnitPlatform()' runners sequentially with 'failOnNoDiscoveredTests' disabled, allowing the appropriate engine to discover and execute the suite without causing classpath collisions.

gbrodman 81b3a2fc5b Add an action to sync the remote Valkey cache (#3032)
This uses two cursors (one for hosts and one for domains) to track our
progress in "catching up", or syncing recent changes to the database,
using the update-timestamp field. When the cache is in use and fully
caught up, these
cursors should be kept relatively up-to-date to the actual time, i.e.
less than one hour behind

gbrodman 59b44b60df Update Hibernate and various other dependencies (#2986)
This ended up being wayyyy more complicated than expected due to
issues with Hibernate, various dependencies having conflicts with the
proto dependency version, and other breaking changes.

Notes:
- Hibernate 7 switches up the user type / converter system and for us,
this means we must be / want to be more explicit with how we convert
and store things. For example, we need to add Postgres types to @Column
definitions.
- Hibernate 7.3 has an issue with generic MappedSuperclasses -- we have
issues with BaseDomainLabelList. I'll investigate that, but for now
let's stick with 7.2.x
- H7 is more strict with annotations and prevents us from storing mapped
superclasses embedded within other objects. This kinda makes sense but
makes the History objects a bit more difficult. We had to add "concrete"
embeddable DomainBase and HostBase objects that we can store/retrieve
from the DB.
- We convert some of the calls to "Query" to "TypedQuery" -- in
Hibernate 8 / JPA 4.0 these will be super-deprecated and we'll need to
shift everything over, so this is necessary.
- You aren't supposed to put callback listeners on embedded entities
(because it can be not obvious what's happening). We don't like that,
so we add our own annotations that are processed recursively for
embedded entities, so we get things like the update / create
timestamps.
- Hibernate doesn't allow for multiple converters to be auto-applied to
the same "type" and it counts all VKey converters as one type.
Unfortunately, this means we have to explicitly mark each one.
- A bunch of other dependency changes were required to keep from having
  the proto 3/4 conflict

gbrodman 929dccbfe3 Remove the concept of a TransferData abstract class (#2966)
The only type of thing that can be transferred now is a domain, so
there's no point in having this abstract class / redirection.

This does not include deletion of the contact-response-related XML
classes; that can come next.

gbrodman ee8746c857 Remove Contact and ContactHistory Java objects and related code (#2964)
This doesn't remove everything -- there are still other contact-related
objects that we'll need to remove (e.g.
ContactPendingActionNotificationResponse) and simplifications we'll need to make
(e.g. only domains can be transferred now, so all transfer data can move
there instead of being generic)

But this removes the bulk of the remaining contact-related code. We'll
keep around the XML request objects, since it's still nice to route them
to the appropriate (exception-throwing but logging) flow class.

Ben McIlwain ab29e481fa Remove contact as a supported object type in EPP (#2954)
This primarily affects the EPP greeting. We already were erroring out when any
contact flows attempted to be run; this should just prevent registrars from even
trying them at all.

This PR is designed to be minimally invasive, and does not remove any of the
contact flows or Jakarta XML/XJC objects/files themselves. That can be done
later as a follow-up.

Also note that the contact namespace urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:contact-1.0 is still
present for now in RDE exports, but I'll remove that subsequently as well.

This is a redo of PR #2932, which had been reverted, but now controlled via
FeatureFlag so that it won't be enabled until we schedule it to do so (and only
after sufficient time has passed after notifying registrars in advance).

changing those is much more complicated.

Ben McIlwain 847ef12a4f Remove Tld.allowedRegistrantContactIds field (#2867)
We no longer need this now that no contacts can be applied to any domains at all.

A follow-up PR in subsequent weeks will delete the column from the DB schema.

gbrodman 732c30b359 Remove registry-lock-related fields from RegistrarPoc (#2818)
We've moved these over to the User class, so we should remove these for
clarity. In addition, we should make it clear (in Java at least) that
the field in the RegistryLock object refers to the email address used
for the lock in question.

gbrodman 083a9dc8c9 Remove old console history Java classes (#2726)
1. This doesn't remove the SQL tables yet (this is necessary to pass
tests and also good practice just in case we need or want to look at
history for a little bit)
2. This also removes the Registrar, RegistrarPoc, and User base classes
that were only necessary because we were saving copies of those
objects in the old history classes.

gbrodman ed33c7424d Add and use new SimpleConsoleUpdateHistory table (#2712)
This changes the code to only save console histories of this type. We
keep the old Java code (and, necessarily, the corresponding SQL code)
for now because there's no harm in doing so and we want to avoid hastily
deleting too much.

gbrodman c6a6bc7e25 Drop FKs referencing DomainHistory (#2621)
- We never delete rows from DomainHistory (and even if we do in the
future, they'll be old / the references won't matter)
- This is likely creating lock contention when lots of requests come
through at once for domains with many DomainHistory entries
2024-12-10 18:46:48 +00:00
gbrodman ae61cd443d Sometimes include deletion times in domain-list exports (#2602)
We only include the deletion time if the domain is in the 5-day
PENDING_DELETE period after the 30 day REDEMPTION period. For all other
domains, we just have an empty string as that field.

This is behind a feature flag so that we can control when it is enabled

gbrodman 3c126ddfd4 Remove ID field from User in Java classes and remove UserDao (#2517)
This is the first step in the field removal (second will be removing the
column from SQL once this is deployed).

There's no point in using a UserDao versus just doing the standard
loading-from-DB that we do everywhere else. No need to special-case it.

gbrodman d33571dde3 Change pkey of User to emailAddress (#2505)
CodeQL / Analyze (java) (push) Failing after 1m22s
CodeQL / Analyze (javascript) (push) Failing after 1m13s
CodeQL / Analyze (python) (push) Failing after 51s
Dependency Submission / dependency-submission (push) Successful in 2m11s
Originally, we though that User entities were going to have mutable
email addresses, and thus would require a non-changing primary key. This
proved to not be the case. It'll simplify the User loading/saving code
if we just do everything by email address.

Obviously this doesn't change much functionality, but it prepares us for
removing the id field down the line once the changes propagate.

We have been using it as a poor man's timed flag that triggers a system
