The patch below fixes the checkpatch complaints on kfree(): WARNING: kfree(NULL) is safe this check is probabally not required This patch has been verified as follows: - Verified that checkpatch does no longer complain about kfree(). - Verified that make -s clean && make -s iscsi scst && make -s -C srpt still works and does not trigger any new compiler warnings. - Checked that the patch generated by generate-kernel-patch still applies cleanly to the 2.6.25.4 kernel, and that the patched kernel tree still compiles, installs and boots fine, and that the iscsi-scst, ib_srpt, scst_disk and scst_vdisk modules still load. Note: I'm not sure any of the above verifications did trigger the code paths changed by this patch. This is the SCST development repository. It contains not a single project SCST as one can think, but a number of them, which are divided as the following: 1. SCST core in scst/ subdirectory 2. Target drivers in own subdirectories qla2x00t/, iscsi-scst/, etc. 3. User space programs in usr/ subdirectory, like fileio_tgt. 4. Some various docs in doc/ subdirectory. Those subprojects are in most cases independent from each other, although some of them depend from the SCST core. They put in the single repository only to simplify their development, they are released independently. Thus, use "make all" only if you really need to build everything. Otherwise build only what you need, like for iSCSI-SCST: make scst scst_install iscsi iscsi_install For more information about each subproject see their README files.
